Last Day of 2nd Grade

Fun Filled Friday!

We had a fantastic Friday! Our morning started by reviewing our reading skills for the week by playing sidewalk scoot. We had questions written on the sidewalk that the students had to answer. They did an amazing job!

After lunch, we went to the preschool classroom and each student read a book to a preschool student. We prepared before hand by reading the book, taking the AR test, and finding three questions we had to ask the preschool student to check their understanding.

The rest of the afternoon we spent making weather vanes. It was a perfect day to test them out!

Learning about onomatopoeia!

We learned all about onomatopoeia this afternoon. After our activity we made a video. Enjoy!

Advanced Chemistry Class Experiments

Ms. Melgaard's Advanced Chemistry students came to both second grade classrooms to do a chemistry experiment with our students. Each high schooler had an experiment they worked through with the elementary students. We then made a Pic Collage of the experiment and read to the high schoolers. What a fun time!
