Disguise a Turkey!

Our turkeys are officially hiding out in our classroom. I am pretty sure no one will find the turkeys that are incognito in our classroom. I was so amazed by these disguised turkeys.

Can you tell they are turkeys?

Tons of learning going on!

Our Phy-Ed teacher Mr. G showed us this great website to practice various skills using an activity mat. Our first skill we worked on was vowels. It was such a fun interactive way to learn. We are very excited to use these throughout the year! http://www.geomotiontv.com/

We have been working really hard on possessive nouns. We did a possessive noun hunt around the classroom today. They had to read the sentence and decide if the possessive noun was singular or plural and write it the correct way. I have seen some huge improvement this week from everyone! KEEP IT UP!

Our focus in social studies is on landforms. Check out our drawings of the landforms we have learned about! Remember to click on the picture to make them bigger!

Cinnamon Synonym Toast, Inferring, and Graphing Galore!

We have been working really hard on synonyms, inferring, and graphing this week. To get us an exciting start on synonyms we did a fun activity where we created "cinnamon synonym toast"! Each student chose a synonym to write on their toast. Then, we used glitter to make it a cinnamon synonym! It was so much fun to make these!

Another main focus we have this week is learning to INFER! The video below explains this well!

We are just finishing up our unit on graphing. They have been doing absolutely amazing! We did a group activity where we had to make a bar graph by counting thanksgiving pictures. Then we had to tally the information and answer number sentences. I saw some great cooperation during our groups!
