We rolled out the red carpet for our classroom awards!

Viking Fun Day - All About Space

Viking Fun Day was all about space. It was sure a fun day! 

We had a sky lab in the gym that we went inside and found constellations in the sky. Then, we read books inside about space. There favorite part was crawling into the dark tunnel. 

Next, we played space bingo. Every student received a little alien souvenir, a planet (bouncy ball), and starbursts. 

Then, we built space rockets and shot them off!

Our next station was a scavenger hunt for planets around the room. We also learned a lot of facts about space. 

Our last station was playing an ipad app called Explorium. It was a fun education app about space and had some very entertaining games. 

Our day ended by watching the movie Planet 51 in our classroom, enjoying Star Kisses from the Dairy Queen and then playing outside. IT WAS A GREAT DAY!

Field Trip to Rydell

We took our field trip to the Rydell Wildlife Refuge. We could not have asked for a better day. The stations included nature hike, find that smell, and studying living things in water. They had a great time and had excellent behavior.  Enjoy the pictures below.
