HELP! We are trapped in a snow globe!

Today was a very busy day! Our morning was busy taking our weekly assessment. It was all about the dinosaurs and the many ideas on how they became extinct. I was really impressed with how well the students summarized the article. After our hard work on our test, we had some fun doing a snow globe art project. First, we wrote to the writing prompt... "If I lived in a snow globe..." Next, we took a picture in our snow gear and printed them off. Then, we cut them out, glued it onto a paper plate, and decorated the paper plate. We then took another paper plate and cut out the middle circle. I then taped a ziploc bag, that was cut in half, to make it look like a snow globe. Last, we glued the two paper plates together. They turned out spectacular! GREAT JOB!

BUSY DECEMBER!

I hope you all had a wonderful break. It went by so fast, but I sure enjoyed spending the time with my family! I have a lot to update you on. We were so busy the month of December that there hasn't been many posts. Also... the students didn't want me to post anything, because they wanted the parent gifts to be a surprise! I hope you all loved the gifts they gave you. They put a lot of hard work into them! In December, Mr. and Mrs. Clause visited our classroom, we worked on subtraction with regrouping, made ornaments, made life sized elves, decorated gingerbread cookies, made a hand print calendar, kept track of our elf Holly, and ended the month with Polar Express Day and our Christmas party. It was so much fun and went by WAY TO FAST!

MR AND MRS. CLAUSE CAME TO VISIT!

A letter arrived from Santa. It had this letter and a bell for each of us. They were ice
cold, we inferred that they were cold due to the temperature in the North Pole.
