Minute To Win It!

Our track and field day had to be cancelled due to the rainy weather. We were very sad but we had a really fun afternoon in the class playing Minute to Win It! Mrs. Hufnagle's class joined us in our room and we had 6 different stations to try and master. Check them out below!

Game 1: Go Fishing
A fish is cut out of tissue paper and contestant is given a paper plate. Tissue paper fish is laid on the ground and the contestant must fan the fish to the piece of tag board. The fish flops in unpredictable ways!

Game 2: There She Blows!
Blow the three cups across the table using a straw.

Game 3: Nose Dive!
Players must transfer cotton balls, one at a time from one paper plate to another using only petroleum jelly on the nose.

Game 4: Bean There Done That!
Put ten beans on a plate and place another plate a foot away from the plate of beans. Contestant must suck a bean onto the straw and hold it there with only their sucking while getting it to the other paper plate.

Game 5: Breakfast Scramble
Players must assemble the cover of a cereal box.

Game 6: Noodling Around
Place a piece of uncooked spaghetti in your mouth and pick up three cheerios. You can not use your hands.

Field Trip

We had such an amazing field trip! The only thing we would have liked to have been better was the weather. But... at least it didn't rain. First, we went to the airport and learned all about the Northland Community and Technical College Aviation Center. We had some great tour guides and they taught us so much about what it would be like to go to school there and all about the airplanes. One of the highlights of the tour was getting to sit in the plane that the Detroit Pistons basketball team flew in. They sure flew in style! Then, we went to the Lions Park to eat our lunch and play at the playground. Last, we stopped by Dairy Queen to get a treat! Even though the weather wasn't the best we still had a GREAT time! Our class would also like to give a big THANK YOU to all the parent volunteers!

Important dates in May!

Wow! May is going to be a really busy month. We have a lot of fun filled activities to finish off the year. Two field trips, field day, fun day, and an awards day! I am so excited about all the fun we will be having but sad that our year is coming to an end. Oh boy will I miss you guys!

May 10 - Field trip to the airport

May 16 - Mini Golf Trip and Bingo at the Cafe

May 20 - Field Day

May 23 - Fun Day

May 24 - Awards Day and last day of school

Adjectives that describe me!

We have been working hard on adjectives all week. To complete our unit, each student made a mask of adjectives that describe them. They came up with some great adjectives! I have such a great class!
