End of the Year Happenings!

We have had a busy May. I can't believe we are down to only 3 days of school left. I have a lot to update you on. Here is a quick catch up!

We said goodbye to our teacher assistant Shaelin. She was an excellent helper and the students will sure miss her. We made her a LARGE going away poster!

We worked really hard and ended up winning the AR contest! As a reward, our class got to go the miniature golf course for the afternoon. It was a beautiful day and we had tons of fun! 

It was so beautiful out today that we decided to have math class outside! I saw some great teamwork and we got a lot accomplished. 

Here is a video of us doing our version of the song "Happy". We had a blast changing the words and learning this song. This class has such beautiful voices!

Field Trip

We had an absolute blast on our field trip. They were all well behaved and it made the trip excellent. We first stopped at a park to play. This park was really neat. It was huge and had a neat castle to climb up on. After the park we went to the circus. The kids really enjoyed it and they purchased a lot of unique toys. After the circus we went to McDonalds for supper. Enjoy the pictures below!

Science Project with the Advanced Chemistry Class!

Ms. Melgaard's Advanced Chemistry students completed their Quarter project recently by teaching our 3rd graders a chemistry experiment. After the experiment high school and elementary students worked together to create a poster on the ipad about what they learned. This was a great learning experience and the kids had so much fun. Long Overdue Update!

We have been having a wonderful time in third grade. I will try catch you up with some pictures! Enjoy!

We made Valentines for our parents. They turned out so cute. The picture below shows the front and back. 

We have been working a lot on measurement. To review chapter 9 we had some fun valentine measuring stations. They were hard at work and had a great time!

A really fun project we did was the cardboard challenge. Students had to come up with a creative card board box valentine. Extra points given for a simple machine. They were amazing!
