We have had a great start to our year! Below you will see some of the activities we are doing in class. We LOVE using the iPads to help us learn. You can see how much fun and engaged the students are while they are on them. We love to use motion math and reflex math to help us with fact fluency, reading eggs to help us with reading skills, and spelling city to practice our weekly spelling list. Last Friday, we used pic collage to make a life cycle of a plant. Wow, did they ever turn out cool! I will try get some of them posted next week.
Carter was our leader of the day and he is working on our morning calendar!
Gumball math has been going great in our classroom. Dominic passed and is about to put a penny into the gumball machine!
Friday was FUN FRIDAY! We worked really hard the entire week so we joined up with the other second grade class and went on an outdoor scavenger hunt. They had to draw or write a word to describe certain things outside. Some examples... an insect, something smooth, flowers, squirrel, something wet, and something rough. They had a blast and seemed to really enjoy this activity. It was really fun to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather we have been having.
